I don’t agree, he really was.
I can’t deny he gave us great moments he did, but we were better when he was out the team. Sorry was never that impressed…. Still hope he does well though.
Undav, yes, never had any doubt, having watched him before he joined us. Way more natural.
Ordinary player, nothing has changed.
Misses more than he scores.
Reading back through this thread, the comments about Undav are laughable and completely wrong, which we saw at the end of the season, when he had a run of games.
Hope Maupay does okay at Brentford.
Cucurella and a couple of others apart (Liam who?), I genuinely want to see our former players do well.
I didn’t rate Maupay, but he gave us great moments, worked very hard, wound up Zaha and Grealish…. Hope he finds a better fit.
I’d go with solid rather than good, but definitely a scorer of great and important goals.
My point was one goal didn’t make him good or even great (IMO) as others have done the same, who were quite poor. Similarly, the flack towards Undav is completely unjustified, which is where we started.
Maupay started a lot more games than Undav, who hasn’t been given a consistent run. For me Undav has a much better touch and holds the ball up more. Maupay was a poor finisher, and by the looks of it nothing has changed, however he gave us some memorable moments.
All opinions….. Probably...
