Hi guys, possibly a daft question but how the frig do I get my average speed up. I've hit it harder than I've ever managed before and I've been commuting reasonably frequently too. I must be fitter than I've ce ever been but only really managing 24km/hr. Now undoubtedly the hills round here...

The Cow and Calf is a bitch like that too. I do prefer it though, better than being knackered a quarter of the way into a climb.

I'd like to do this at some point. Where are these signs you mention? Can't see any on google streetview. The route seems to cut out quite large chunks of the island, including the western peninsula, why is that?!

Yes, saw this not long ago. Doesn't seem right to me - have been eating like a horse this year since I've really gotten into my cycling, cream cakes, ice cream, sweets and mounds of roast potatoes. Have lost a stone in the last 4 months. You don't see many fat cyclists.

I've found Gatorskins to be crap too, one of which completely shredded. Can anyone recommend what I should replace them with? And is the current thinking to stick with 25mm front and back?
