My better half went a few weeks ago and said it was good. We went to the new Lime Squeezy Thai restaurant in Jubilee Square, Brighton during the week. Very impressed. It has been set up by one of the partners involved in the founding of The Giggling Squid. They do a brunch menu, but we went at...

Definitely your daughter, we are booked in again in December, if she’s there I’ll say hello. She sorted out one of our starters that was ordered without mustard but came with it.

We were served by a younger waitress who was delightful, the owner said she only employs staff who understand the vibe of the place, I can’t wait to go back.

Went to the Witchez yesterday with a few friends who raved about it. What an experience, quirky does not do it justice. Silent black and white film in background, small intimate dining area and the host explaining the meals in detail was both amazing and funny. Polish influences throughout...

Went to Kusaki in the week a Japanese Vegan restaurant in the Preston Circus area of Brighton. None of us were Vegans but all agreed the food was very good. https://www.kusakibrighton.com/ On another note went back to the Burnt Orange and was not that impressed after loving the first visit...

Went to Burnt Orange today for lunch, better half went midweek and thought it worth a revisit as she wanted to try the set menu. Hummus, lamb cigars and the flat bread were the stand outs for me. Very interesting menu lots of choices. I’d put this on a par with the Flint house. Cost for a shared...

We had our original booking cancelled by our intended restaurant earlier in the week for our visit to London so ended up at Mon Plaisir, Monmouth Street which is in the Covent Garden area. Excellent French bistro which we will visit again. Simple French food executed well, prices pretty good at...

Cafe on the Park in Burgess Hill. http://cafeonthepark.uk/ Great little independent cafe I came across yesterday. Three of us. Bill was £25 for 3 coffees, 2x garlic mushrooms and salad and Basque chicken. All excellent, second favourite brunch/breakfast cafe to Moksha in Brighton.

Stanmer Park One Garden. The walled garden at the top of the park that used to be run as a garden nursery by Brighton and Hove Council but now renovated by Plumpton College into an amazing space combining landscaped areas, a garden centre, farm shop and restaurant. Tried the food and it was...

Evening Star is one of my favourite pubs, but standing next to someone cooking burgers while having a pint is not my idea of fun. Great news he’s been relocated out of sight. Hope it works out for him and the pub.
