[Football] Newcastle fans and YouTuber support Saudi, confront protesters

No worries. I think it was the third photo in post 187 that I assumed we were discussing.

You have made up what that particular group of fans were singing at that particular point in time. Only a minor point but it does suggest a desire to vindicate the Newcastle support rather than debate the issues.

[Football] Newcastle fans and YouTuber support Saudi, confront protesters

How on earth do you know what’s being sung from looking at a picture? You might be right but you can’t know that. That leads me to think you want to believe it and that is how you are coming across in all of this. You are simply making stuff up, which makes you an apologist for Saudi ownership...

Really ? ‘Making a club the best it can be’ is pretty subjective. I can think of a few definitions ; sustainability, community involvement, entertainment, winning things. I am sure there are more. Different fans and owners will likely all want a different balance between these aims so you don’t...

So you were entitled to continue with all of this success you describe then ?

The reason we have no say is that we have no financial stake in the club. I don’t see how fans can make those decisions without taking the financial risk if things go wrong, as Tony does at the Albion. Tinkering with the current system with fan advisory boards and the like really is all for show...

Yes, although if Mike Ashley had more money than the Saudis they would have been fine with that.

But it seems that Newcastle can only compete with Man U with the Saudi money. The 24 year olds and grandads you used in your example could just protest Saudi ownership and accept a level below Man U. They won’t because they want the success.

Btw in a previous post you said that if the Saudis didn’t own Newcastle they might buy another club and the example you used is Man U. Quite clearly it is success you are after if you consider that to be the bracket you MUST operate in. My local club are in L2. The owner lives around the corner...

Fair enough and you do it politely which is to your credit. I’m certainly not saying you shouldn’t.

Don’t then. That’s fine. So why are you on here looking for ‘gossamer thin praise from other fans ?’ Sorry, we are not going to give you the vindication you want. I have no idea why you are looking for it.

Your last paragraph; no, I was just explaining a point using an example. I could use a different example if you prefer but so could you. I don’t need to step anywhere. Trying to illustrate my point and you’ve called me mad. I agree that many fans of the clubs you mention (and also Brighton)...

Your fanbase are not thick and morally bankrupt. However individuals within it clearly are. I don’t know how many individuals this amounts to but it looks like a lot on tv. Doubtless if the Saudis bought our club there would be many on here who would behave in the same manner as your fans. They...

[Football] Newcastle fans and YouTuber support Saudi, confront protesters

That is quite a convenient line though. ‘ The authorities shouldn’t have let it happen’ (true) ‘so leave us alone to enjoy all the money’ (no, football people won’t do that). If you murder somebody and the authorities let you get away with it on a technicality I’m afraid you can’t expect...

Reading the Newcastle owner fan apologist on here I thought I would try to find out what the Newcastle Utd LGBTQ group make of it and found this ; (it’s the Arhletic but free as I read it and don’t subscribe)...
