Indeed. The reasoning was that the historical value of the docks had been diminished. Doesn’t that rule out non man made sites as not possessing this historical value in the first place ?
It certainly looked beautiful on David Attenborough’s Wild Isles series. The most dramatic parts are difficult to visit though I would imagine. The only World Heritage sites I have visited are Hoi Anh and Liverpool ! Do you know the criteria for the decision making ?

Very pleased to see my daily dog walk of Birkenhead Park on the list. It really is beautiful and was the inspiration for Central Park, New York. York is also lovely. So much to choose from in the UK.
