    With ever increasing levels of migration there is no 'proper funding of schools' as it is a moving target. There is a lot more to resettling non English speakers than you imply. It has enormous implications on schools and teachers.

    For an undergraduate degree the figure is around 16k not 25k. When you say it is subsidizing U.K. students, to be more specific what it is doing is helping to subsidize the massive increase in university places.

    Perhaps that's her plan, yes. It does seem rather cold and cynical though to fail to mention the short term consequences (if that's what they are). Will her family have to pay the price (the answer is a resounding no) or only those of ordinary people who don't move in her circles ?

    Sure, I agree cool heads are needed. However, if reasonable people don't soon come up with a plan then less reasonable people will fill the void. Nice words simply are not good enough for relatives of the maimed and dead.
