It looks like the 8 is a pretty pointless minor update of the 7 which was itself a pretty pointless update of the 6.. with the headphone socket omitted.
So really the X is the only significant step forward since the 6, with the lack of bezel delivering a reduced phone size, and other tech...
I have a 6 plus- works fine, the battery has lasted well. It would be nice to have the same size screen on a smaller phone though which is what I understand is to be unveiled today though. Hard to justify shelling out £££ to secure that tho.
Looks like on eBay I might get about £300 for mine...
