Given your avatar, you might not agree with the other bit -- ie, US soloists/singer-songwriters are better than UK ones. You're probably right on The Beatles, although for me there's a band that clearly eclipses them now and I love The Beatles

It's another yes from me (although British bands are better than US ones, while US soloists/singer-songwriters are better than British ones -- we don't need a poll about that: it's obvious). @Mellotron did a wonderful job with the comedy one, as for everybody else, well, I couldn't possibly comment.
