RDZ did say in the pre-match for Burnley (might have been Brentford) that Julio wouldn't be available until the new year (and the intimation was that it could be well into it), having hinted at a return in 2023 a few press conferences previously.
Agree on the first point, wouldn't go as far as you on the second. I suppose it depends how Pedro (who has played there) gets on and is used, but across the front four, it's on the right that we might need an addition.
Thought he was excellent today in his half an hour. Caused them so many problems. His recent performances have been very encouraging which is just as well as, with all the forthcoming fixtures and Moder, Lallana and Sarmiento out for all of most of the season, we're going to need him on form.
Good post. Two things on Enciso:
-- a poster a while back noted his shooting ability which, for me, is what makes him stand out
-- whether he stays next season or goes out on loan will be influenced by whether we have European football or not. We'll need a deeper squad if we do
Well, I thought Enciso looked extremely promising in the 45 minutes he played today. Very good at carrying the ball, better still at engineering time/space for himself, very difficult for opponents to read what he's going to do.
Good chance that Khadra and Enciso are loaned. Really can't see much likelihood of the others, unless Mitoma wants to stay at USG and play in the European competition.
If he didn't already speak English, it's worth adding that he nearly signed in January and, even though he didn't, he would have been aware of our continued interest, so seems likely that he might have gone on a crash course.
