This. All the way. Although I'd add that it'd be good for all our wingers to hit a bit of form. It's them that have been most disappointing this season (Izquierdo was extremely frustrating against Leicester -- and Cardiff -- despite illustrating many qualities in those games)
Where we are at present has been driven by:
1 going into the lead in multiple fixtures and, more often than not, early, followed by the attempt to protect that lead
2 eking out results, relying on defensive doggedness
3 injuries (and a suspension) to key players
4 new players being bedded into...
But there's the rub. Given the choice, what do you want: performances that are better than the results; or results that are better than the performances? Fulham, Palace and Southampton have the former.
It's not pretty, but it's a feature of something that few have picked up on, which is how many games we've scored first and, more often than not, early. We then set up to protect what we have. And we're extremely good defensively. And we're in the bottom five in terms of squad expenditure.
