The only real criticism that can be levelled at him, in my view, is that he has made 2 poor appointments - Burke and Hyypia - and perhaps some dithering over getting rid of Hyypia.
He recognises that he does not have a footballing brain himself, so he employed someone to do it for him (Burke)...
Of course people can criticise him and your first sentence of this post is entirely reasonable, although I would change Oscar to Hyypia.

So why employ anyone at all if you are not going to trust their judgement? That's what he did, their judgement was wrong, they get shown the door. No doubt it will happen again at some point. I am not quite sure what else you would want TB to do in the same...
If it isn't, he is paying the interest on it and he is getting the "benefit" of it in the form of shares when he converts loans into equity. Shares that are worth tuppence ha'penny
Why would anyone pump 205m into a club only to then become "rotten and destroy a football club"? How can he make a profit when the club is worth significantly less that 205m?
My view is that there are many people reading far too much into a couple of poor appointments and TB's wish for the club...
