Ah I was operating under the misapprehension that some were suggesting UKIP were going belly up immediately. Agree with your post referendum longer term analysis although a small group may remain if a referendum result for staying in is very close.
They may be a fickle bunch but I think it's fairly clear that if UKIP disintegrates (unlikely) the largest proportion of their votes will return to the Conservatives. The Ipsos Mori poll was consistent with others.

If UKIP does go belly up I think it is clear who would benefit most. Not sure why this potential boost to Conservative support is such a cause for celebration on the left.
