You are right in that everyone in the team will remember - which is where Max may live to regret this one - but in the wider community it's a footnote in the records. Hamilton was even saying earlier in the week he isn't really fussed if GR finishes above him in a Talladega nights style "If...
The curious thing about Max not giving up his position was that there is zero upside to what he did. It didn't matter to him if he finished 6th or 7th with the championship wrapped up weeks ago whereas every point counts for Perez notwithstanding that it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme...
This is a good an article as any. Short version is they've talked a lot about different solutions but all the teams voted to keep the status quo as they can't come up with anything better.

I can see Merc getting 2nd in the constructors. They are gradually getting there and are within striking distance with the inferior car -They shouldn't be anywhere close though. Lewis has woken up now that he can small a win which I am sure they will get between now and the end of the season.
It really is incredible looking at the graphic that GR is within 20 points of Leclerc and ahead of Sainz in the championship. If the Merc team had that Ferrari package, the championship would be on a knife edge with Red Bull.
Kudos to Lewis for beating George from where he was and you could hardly say George drove a bad race either. As the car gets a bit better, his performance levels are improving. Would have been a win without the DRS issue.
Sami Hypia on the pit wall again for Ferrarri. Hard tyre today is up...
In qualifying Ferrarri certainly have a quick car but other than Austria in recent weeks it seems to be that Red Bull have the edge in the race or more specifically a Max Verstappen driven Red Bull.
They all have their moments emotional in the car when things are going badly but Max has made...
Some cracking posts on this thread. One of the most enjoyable on NSC. For what it's worth, I think Leclerc is top draw but the Ferrari isn't quite as quick as the Red Bull in race pace most of the time and the strategy calls Ferrari make are Kevin Keegan esque. Schumacher had the strength of...
Its a good article (Well, I would say that I suppose) but I don't know why Russell felt the need to roll the dice so much. Leclerc was starting last. Perez was wandering about in the shrubs so he was only really racing Verstappen, Sainz and Alonso. Verstappen was the only one he wasn't lapping...
A good a thread as any but only sort of related to F1. I've had the covids and spent today monging in front of the telly watching netflix. I watched "Need for Weed" which is the 2nd episode of Bad Sport which is 6 episodes of sporting scandels. Having not known anything about Randy Lanier...
Well done Lando for livening it up at the end. Pretty soporific stuff otherwise.
Was it me or did Vettel say "Which Mike Hunt did that? when Mick Schu took him out?
