I have expressed this concern since the Palace game, we have come up against three teams in the last four games that give us no time on the ball and we have been well beaten, and in the Palace match scraped a draw. We currently have no answer at all to being pressed, it is a real worry.
Maybe...
Only listened on the radio but I got the impression they just closed us down evertime we got the ball and we didn’t have the quality or composure to handle it. Pretty sure they would have been trying very hard. The manager takes a big portion of the blame for today and a lack of ability, at this...
Does he admit to dropping a ricket with his team selection against Huddersfield...again?
Edit, he does allude to it, even if he doesn’t come out and actually admit it.
Are you going Ernest or will you save your meltdown for the official match thread? I’ll be there and am expecting our worst defeat of the season
Me, he still hasn’t scored even though he has had the most shots of any player in the Premier League I think. It’s a manic laugh given today’s performance but it’s still a laugh.
Positive is that we seem to still be trying and haven’t folded. Given how we seem to have played for 3/4 of the game, we could have,
Hughton and the team have to hold their hands up for an unacceptable team selection and performance though
Sounds like the whole team has probably averaged 4/10 in player ratings in fairness
I am a expecting Ince to open his Premier League account after 40 or so efforts so far
No but they have been pretty effective at home and have beaten United. The question was meant more generally than just today when they seem to have over run us. We should’ be getting used to that up there though.
According to the pundits on the Premier League review on tv today, Huddersfield were completely useless in attack at Everton. How can a team be useless at attacking away from home and so effective at home?
Aspinall is a very astute pundit. He was saying pre match that players, particularly Stephens need to show more composure in front of goal. It’s a complete lack of composure when pressed that has caused us most of our problems this season.
Sounds like we are being chased down and panicking, I think the Premier League honeymoon may be over. Players need to calm down and start passing the ball acurrately.
