But - he’d earned that start vs Villa and was a bit overwhelmed. Understandable. I think we see a very different Jack Hinshelwood in the centre next time he plays there. He has convinced himself (and us) that he is a proper Premier League player now.
Thinking about our central midfielders for next season……..Hinshelwood must be there with Gilmour & Groß. He has done that well.
But Dahoud and Moder still have a bit to do. Lallana and Milner might retire and Baleba needs a lot of game time but can we afford to give him it?
Exactly. What the lad has done is to prove that he has a long term future at the club and/or in the Premier League.
We expect our players to be top six EPL level quality now. Jack is on target to achieve that.
