That’s my instinct. I’m not sure what the point of a Caicedo sell-on is otherwise!
They are probably all different but I assume the club have a % of any future sales. There is always a dullard lurking about to put us right on this.
"It's not done yet. The paper work is in process and hopefully we can get it finished before noon. He's a fantastic player, young hungry mobile, very intelligent and can play in several positions in our system. If it goes through it opens some options for Levi Colwill to find some more game time...
But please remember, we are not financial investment company in the City of London, we are a community football club in Sussex. A football club with a huge hole in the squad. We have no left back in the current squad.
I’ll celebrate this deal once Cucu has been replaced. The loan-child Colwill...
Marc Cucurella *SINGS on a five-year contract*
As others have said, this Colwill development plan we’ve been lumbered with means that we’ll need a Championship club to develop JPvH likewise.
I don’t think we’ll find anyone to take Duffy off our hands with his salary and sadly, he’ll not make...
It’s potentially not that much of a problem against the majority of teams in the EPL with Potter’s nous but against the Big Six, we really need a like-for-like CDM Biss replacement. Possibly Caicedo can do the job but I’d prefer it if we went out and got a Grillitsch or Camara style player in.

Well on our way to a record like this:

I just hope we’re spending some of it on a left back before September as we no longer have one in the squad. BG will be turning in...

Yup.
Nothing shocking about the fee at all. We just got maximum market value.
It’s such a shame that the club did not sign a replacement a month or so ago. Although they’ve paid the big bucks, Chelsea have pulled off a massive coup tonight. They...
If we don’t get a couple of replacements in, I think we’d be absolutely crazy to sell him.
It’s very possible that we won’t be able to do a deal now because agents will have their eyes on the Cucu transfer fee and will want a large slice of it for their clients. That won’t happen at this club...
It is. But their ‘valuation’ is probably based on their FFP wiggle room rather than the market rate. They’ve paid much more than £40m for full backs in the past.
The market rate for Cucueralla (a fee Chelsea have seemingly agreed to pay) has been set by us, not them.
I disagree.
Having one’s cake and eating it is keeping Cucu and signing Colwill.
Tony is standing up to the Big Six. Chelsea are guilty of cakeism here. They want our player and want theirs back if he is equally as good.
My guess is that we’ve said that the Cucu deal does not go through until...

100% this.
Tony is like the Pied Piper of Hamelin to Chelsea. He’ll sort out their problems in the present but it’s going to cost them their future (with no trade backs). If they cross him, he’s going to **** them up.
In business, you stop ‘picking up the phone’ to certain people. We went public with their ‘incremental bids’ BS. Citeh have well and truly burnt their bridges.

Well, he did provide the can’t with all the info, just shot his beans to Romano before the i’s were dotted and the t’s were crossed.
