Ref watched the ankle breaker foul on the England Captain on a VAR replay and still gave a yellow instead of a red.
What makes it worse is that Jonathan Pearce said it was the right decision.

I disagree in that the Ref had a clear view of the incident. His reasons for not giving the penalty would have been that the ball was not in playing distance of the players and that The Tunisian scoundrel was ‘looking for it’. Even if he’d reviewed it, he’d have pretty much seen the same thing...
I think that perhaps there is an element of ‘the umpire’s decision’ here. What is your view on these two questions?
