    I think this still has to got through the full planning process, so there is a chance that it could still be turned down. If the committee applied the same criteria as yesterday they flipping well should do!

    Basically it got kicked out because it looks rubbish next to the stadium. If it had one ounceof the flair of the AMEX itself it would have gone through.

    Another stupid post criticising the greens for no reason. The plan to stretch Churchill square to the seafront and tear down the centre and set up an arena/facility at black rock has been around for over 10 years!

    Blimey! Just for once I actually agree with Councillor Morgan. Interesting to note in his comments he mentioned the new arena at Black Rock. Is this project still on or about to be resurrected?

    I'd be stunned if that is the reason, that is developer's problem not the council's. I imagine there objection must be based on something else that will be revealed when the full report is disclosed. Also like others I have difficulty seeing the hotel not being viable given that it is 10mins...
