    Bye Bye First Capital Connect

Delaying the fix by nearly 45 minutes after they decided not to visit. Signalling failure this afternoon at Haywards Heath as well. All track circuits between Keymer Jn and Haywards Heath stopped working and of course its unsafe to run any trains. Fixed within 45 minutes after a quick response...

Which is exactly what I thought. Obviously lots of work is going on in the London Bridge area, can only assume its related to the work. There was a track circuit issue in the same area the other day too, perhaps its related.

Well there was a delay in repairs being made as Network Rail managers wanted to come to the site first as it was reportedly some recent work undertaken which had failed, these managers then failed to turn up, which in turn further delayed repairs being made. The 313s are to be replaced soon, more 377s are on the way...

    Bye Bye First Capital Connect

The older FCC stock is being withdrawn and replaced shortly. Same with Southern, they are also withdrawing the older stock, including the unsuitable Gatwick Express trains. Probably apt that Thameslink tomorrow start with a bus replacement as well between Haywards Heath and Brighton.

    Bye Bye First Capital Connect

It is FCCs last day of operation today as tomorrow their franchise is taken over by Govia, who also operate Southern and Southeastern. All former FCC services will be rebranded as "Thameslink" again. Southern and Thameslink will then merge in the near future. Cant say many people will be sad...
