So what did people think? Quite nice to wake up here at 9am with the new episode live. Typical first one of a season but should see some stuff happen next time.

Great episode but like all of this season, there seem to be some big plot holes or inconsistencies. Just watch it and try not to think too much. A lot of stuff seems 'obvious' to everyone watch with yet other seasons were twists and turns galore. Still best show on TV, just for different reasons.

It made up for ep9 and even when you know the story from books it was gripping and exciting

Only supposed to be 100 Night's Watch but convinced if you counted how many died there'd be at least 3 times that number who snuffed it. Surely the free folk are the 'good guys' in this situation too........ so they did get beaten back and 'loose'

Fairly sure it's been discussed in multiple sources that they are going by timeline and not book later in the series when relevant. People's favourite characters can't disappear for 2 years
