Heartwarming to see so many thumbs up for Duffy (70s version) and Maupay. Please would one of you second them, or they won't may the list. Same for the young Barco.
He was DJ-ing in Brighton while recuperating from 'injuries' though. Call that flair, call that taking the piss? My money is on the latter.
Best wishes to you and your nuts
Only 99% of the time.
What am I missing here? Rod was in the squad and occasionally on the pitch after we returned to Brighton...
To be clear, he was not released at the end of the season before we went to Withdean.
I think you are mistaken (f*** me, I have gone eerily polite as I have gone senile). I deffo saw him at Withdean. Mostly on the bench. As the facts confirm:
His final appearances:
Also, 'Super Rodney'....his name is Roderick. FFS. Our support can be f***ing embarrassing.
seconded
I am the only person in the world who eye-witnessed him play a long ball towards the North, and continue the leg swing, as most eyes followed the ball, till his boot collided with the flesh of an opponent in flabby pursuit.
It was magical. A brass-neck assault hidden in plain sight...
I'll second Pinamonte.
Withdean South stand chanted 'Italia, Italia'.
He scored some goals.
Then he couldnot risk the lure of the big time. At third division Brentford. Where he disappeared without a trace. What a guy.
He's the current president of the PFA. The most unflairy job in the world.
Edit: I was at the Madejsky (or was it Hillsborough?) to see his goal. I think we lost 3-1 in the end, didn't we?
Despite multiple thumbs up, *neather Maupay nor Barco have been seconded yet, at least not last time I looked. Fingers out, fans of flair and shitehousery"
*Gedditt??
Alan Duffy. Scruffy, maverick, and did a shot that hit the left post, went behind the keeper, hit the right post and out again. I was behind the South goal and though I would never see such a thing again. Duffy just slumped away.
