It would make no difference to the gun lobby. They would simply argue that the man was a fool for not having armed himself better for his own protection. :shrug:
More today on the radio defending the idea of better arming teachers and janitors in schools in the US. If your premise is 'we have had guns since day 1, and it is in our constitution' then it is likely to be a popular position in the US. Trump has said similar.
