One thought, will you be giving each of the teams the same reputation/background stats to start with as well? I'm thinking chairman/fan loyalty and so on...

I think a separate thread is the way to go, though, as a point of interest, if you'd be able to send me the database (once built) I could run a parellel game, just to see what happens. Yours would remain THE game, but it could be fun to see just how much everything varies.

No worries, they've really made an effort with the FM Editor in recent years, many things can now be adjusted/created within the database if people are so inclined. Even better, it's simple enough for anyone to make sense of it (if I can then anyone can...).

Why would you be in trouble? Players can be uninjured in the FM Editor, so you'd start with a fit squad...

Hmm. Good point...though, we've all picked managers to take the reins, that would be a good way of judging them as the game/they would try to plug gaps where it could. That way, the main 11 would still be those picked by us during this draft...

It really will, I'm happy with my team but there are some incredible ones in here that look the utter nuts. I'm considering making a quick FM14 league using the assembled squads and simulating a season, just to see who wins. FM knows everything after all...
