Excuse me, I did not for a minute suggest that i do not believe you. I started that this option was not on due to late working commitments and for evening games with my kids. Just because you managed to do the journey at the last minute does not necessarily mean everyone else will or can achieve...
Doug suggested that too. How early do you have to get to Lewes in order to park? Incidentally, the car park does benefit me as for instance I watched the entire match yesterday, briskly walked back to the car at the uni and was home in Eastbourne before half five. That's nice but it really is a...
But you're forgetting that from the east you already travel past the stadium, then ten minutes to get to park and ride and then assuming you get straight on a bus another ten (?) to get back to where you were already twenty minutes ago. I would imagine it would in practise take longer, forgive...
I think that sounds like a good service. However, as already pointed out in this thread, the park and ride sites serve the west and north well but not the east. I imagine at least half an hour extra on top of your calculation after and before the game for those returning east. For evening games...
Didn't notice anyone complaining except you. Someone mentioned that the east wasn't well served with park and ride. You really think drivng to Seaford from Eastbourne is a good idea to get the train but yet you don't take the train yourself. I'm sure you have a good reason but that would...
As far as the uni parking is concerned, then it makes sense to fill the car parks in a first come first served basis. That was one of Monday night's problems.
Just got this back and I think it is a reasonable response:
Dear Green Cross Code Man,
Thank you for your e-mail. I am very sorry that you were inconvenienced last night. We did suffer* a combination of serious operational problems, but despite these issues clearly we did not handle the...
Here's my email to Paul Barber and his response:
Dear Mr Barber,
I feel compelled to write to detail my experience last night at the university car park. Taking the advice from the helpful email sent by the club earlier in the day, we set out early so as to ensure arrival in time for the big...
That's a ridiculous comment regarding finding the best method of transport for a person. What if the best for a person IS the university parking but the organisation of the stewards etc caused/causes problems? You seem to have missed the point of this thread completely.
Got there well before 7. The queue from the a27 was already very long and due to the traffic light sequence took forever to move. You say the car park was 'bursting'. It wasn't, it was oversold. Didn't you see the number of cars parked up on banks, and undesignated spaces when you returned? Many...
