Wimbledon was the last grand slam to pay the genders the same for winning the title, doing so for the first time in 2007. The US Open did it first in, errrr, 1973. Wimbledon can't really be said to be "showing the way".....

What I don't understand is why they allow a bloke to play in the women's game. Doesn't seem fair to me. Or why they allow so many players to take drugs in both the men's and women's game.
