Thanks for that, No there is no OS with it which for me is a good thing , I will be putting Windows 7 Pro on thats plenty good enough for me. Otherwise i would be paying of a OS that i didnt want.

I use Ubuntu Linix on another machines bur as said its a convenience thing for windows.

I have a TB drive to go into it and a TB external drive s spare is an issue, I will be putting Windows 7 Pro on to it as like you that plenty good enough for me.

In the old days when I did this, I would have to format/ partition the hard drive, re install operating system then re install all the relevant sound/ graphics /mouse /network drivers ect and invariably find you were missing a few. I no longer have the Disc for the operating system (windows 7)...

Just to add to my computing woes, i have samsung S2 portable back up drive thats has gone wobbly, cant read even tried several puters wit hit and it emits a faint bleeping sound so pretty much US, can data be recovered from these?
