Must be the first time for a while that there's no Brighton/ex Brighton interest in the old firm game - Sima out injured, and neither Goldson or Balogun in the match day squad for Rangers either.
They may have been a couple of seasons ago, but now they just take our youngsters on loan, don't play 'em and think they're shit. I think (hope) Moran and Ayari are better than them.
FWIW, I'd guess at (hopefully) better loans for them next season. Maybe a division down, or abroad - but this...
TB had to get rid of most of his shares (OK, maybe he did an Ernie Marples with them, but still not a major shareholder any more). We still can't do any business with USG, and we cannot plonk our youngsters there to toughen up/wait to qualify for work permits or whatever - so our bond with USG...
I would think there's a fair case to be made for another season's loan - although there may be interesting alternatives, lower end PL or abroad for a year perhaps.
Could Massive be our new USG, now that our connection with the latter is not so close? Looking at that fans forum, they're pretty...
Sarmiento and Ayari both on the pitch for their respective teams' triumphs - Blackburn's triumph was staying up, and Ipswich's winning promotion (they brought on Christian Walton right at the end too, which was a nice touch).
Beadle needed to keep another clean sheet to seal Massive's incredible...
Leagues 1 and 2 now completed, so presumably Leonard, Samuels, Hinchy, Weir and Turns are back at Lancing now (or on their holibobs).
As the Championship comes to its finale, our loanees are involved at both ends of the table - the exception is Rushworth, who once again starts for mid-table...
......and the Massive have at last started to realise that being 12 points away from safety in January to almost there now is, in part, due to them 'giving some experience to some rookie GK from a PL2 side over our own GK' getting through to them...
How's things gone today then?
Let's start in Scotland, for a change - no loanees in action, but ex-Albion young hopeful Teddy Jenks seems to be fit again; unused sub for Ross County though.
In the Championship. Ayari got half an hour for Blackburn, but Moran barely had time to lace his boots...
Yeh, just panic buying though, eh? We don't like doing deals in January - ain't that the rules?
Seriously, although the team is absolute gash, he still hasn't pulled up any trees, has he?
Potentially an Albion/ex Albion bonanza today, but ...................
Sima started for Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi-final against Hearts, but was subbed off after a quarter of an hour through injury. He could have been up against former Albion yoof, Alex \Cochrane, but Hearts switched to...
They probably did. But it probably didn't involve falling out with Sanchez, getting away with playing Steele for half a season, and then having to fork out £20M to spend this season alternating between one GK who wasn't quite good enough for the PL and one who wasn't quite ready for the PL.
We...
Better sell him quick - we don't want any of that long-ball hoofing going on round here. Of course, if de Zerbi goes, it might be different ....................
