Another loan of thee same quality as Pocognoli (only a forward this time rather than a full back) would be very acceptable, deadline day or not!

Unthinkable! We are Brighton & Hove Albion and we don't do things like that! You'd have us putting TEENAGERS in our glorious team, like lesser clubs like Liverpool do? Oh the shame of it! Surely it's called the U23s because that's where they have to stay until they are 23?

Because 'Our man' is a euphemism for 'My nephew' perhaps?

Why this obsession with 'We can't afford his wages'? He's had several seasons in the PL, on PL wages. So, unless he's got a huge gambling habit - or a gargantuan appetite for expensive prostitutes - he's minted. It won't be long though, until he is physically unable to play professional football...

Yes you can. One is cover for the other. The one who is cover is inevitably going to be not quite as good as he one he is covering for - otherwise he would be the first choice, not the person he is covering. Hemed is excellent cover for Murray.

Fair enough. The posts I was referring to in my first response were definitely having a go at BG for even thinking to ask the question, even if your's wasn't intended that way. FWIW, I wouldn't vote for him coming to the Albion either.

Why? It was a valid question, even if you - and others - are violently opposed to one of the possible answers. So, just answer 'No' then - no need to attack the person who asks the hypothetical question. Just out of interest, now that his conviction has been quashed, do you think he should...

To be fair, he did ask whether other people would find it acceptable. It was a question - OK first responses appear that the answer's a great big 'no', but it was still a legitimate question.

Good move by Birmingham. Shame, really - I wanted them to crash and burn; not because I hate Zola (I don't) or because I have any dislike for Birmingham City FC (I don't) - but I'd love some ar8ehole foreign owners who try and just make a football club their own personal toy to absolutely fail...

Tomer is the cover for Glenn Murray - two players in each position is standard, and we've got our two in that role. Realistically, you can't have three for every position (even if we were criticised by someone last season for not having three left backs!) It is cover/competition for the Baldock...

In: Maybe; Yes; No. Out: Manu - yes; Ince - probably impractical to arrange a loan in current circumstances; Towell - on fringes of the squad - may be needed, so keep; Hunt - until Liam is fit again, our back-up right back - keep; Sell JFC and COG? Won't they be away for free in the summer?

Yes, if Murray got injured, we'd have to get by with a 17 goal a season striker.......wonder where we might find one of those. Somebody relatively cheap, from Israel, perhaps?
