Sigh....................this argument would be valid, but for the one fatal flaw. When LR switched to LB, we just kept steam-rollering on without a hitch, invinvible as before. We had specialist wingers/wide men to cover those roles, and LR was an excellent LB. It was only when we lost LR and...

A loan for Ince would be ideal, but surely it would be best for both the club and Danny Holla to have a complete break, if a buyer can be found. That might not be easy, I know.

Although if we have LuaLua and Knockaert firing on all cylinders as wide midfielders/wingers, with goals in them, in a 442 set-up, I think we could well spare Rosenior to play left back if needed. After all, he is pretty good a it.

We could certainly do with a new striker (I never said otherwise - see " Not saying we shouldn't try to get in better players than we've already got" - of course we should, at all times and for all places). However, it is still a fact at before we were massively swamped by multiple serious...

Actually, carrying on winning by one goal and drawing the rest could well have kept us in the position we were in at he end of November. Not saying we shouldn't try to get in better players than we've already got, but if we get our numerous casualties back fit again, we can still have a good...

Not just Bobby. Calde's only contracted until the end of the season, and I think maybe Bruno too.

We're also going to need to be looking to replace several ageing defenders - maybe not immediately this summer, but in the not too distant future it will be an issue.

Flogged off for a quick buck like the Goldstone then?

It worked quite well early in the season. Regardless of that though, I would use Crofts ahead of Ince for that role; I just think he's a better player.

Yes, and Bruno and Calde could pick up injuries this week, which would mean we'd be going into our next league match with six (Bruno, Calde, Greer, Uwe, Rosenior and Bong) out of eight front line defenders all injured at once - that would be amazingly bad luck, but you can't really expect to...

Happy we've got Ridgewell. Good cover. Unlike Chelski or Man. City, we are not in a position to indulge in cover for cover for cover ad infinitum.

Did we use Ince in that role when Crofts was available? Wasn't Crofts injured in the early part of the season when Ince was brought on to shore things up?

Was a decent player, but don't know how much he's been playing lately, so is he match fit? We hardly need another unfit LB, and anyway we've got Ridgewell now to cover until Bong (hopefully) is back.

So you'd like to pay Reading six times what they paid for him, to bring in a striker whose record at Reading is less than one goal in five?
