I posted a message on the EFL Facebook page in response to their picture of tonight's league table to the effect of "I know there's a long way to go, but weren't we all told that Newcastle would be walking this league by now?" and got a private message from one of their fans calling me "a smug...

I'm sure we were told repeatedly, including by spence, that Newcastle were nailed on to piss this league and we had no chance of challenging them. :shrug:

As Danny Baker once said: "Football. ****ing football. Imagine not being into it. Those poor, poor half-alive *******s." Two points clear at the top with a game in hand...incredible stuff.

My nerves are fecked and it's only January...if we keep this up then god knows what state we'll all be in by April.
