Was just passing by as I have a soft spot for you lot and saw that you were chatting about our signings, so thought that you might appreciate some input from our side too.
OK I'll bite.
Our loans last season:
Ward
Mooy
Palmer
Brown
(there was also Kachunga but we bought him mid way through the season so let's just ignore him for the purposes of this)
They have been replaced with:
Ward -> Lossl (loan)
Mooy -> Mooy
Palmer -> Palmer (loan)
Brown -> Ince
This then...
I'm not really sure what you're getting at. We created the team that we need for last season last summer, and we're creating the team that we need for this season this summer. Why are you ranting and raving about the number of loans each team had?
Oh for sure, all our signings (and current players) are going to take some work to get up to the standard required for PL.
On the flip side, a Copenhagen fan had this to say about him:
"If you are able to land Zanka (that is what we call him; what everyone calls him; what you should call him)...
It's an interesting one. On the face of it then yeah, Stuart Webber was instrumental to our success last season, however, the majority of players that were brought in were from the German leagues. No one will ever know how much influence he had vs. Wagner, but the way we've cracked on this...
Last season we signed 14 players over summer and only one didn't make the grade (Ivan Paurevic). In fact 10 of the 14 players at Wembley were brought in last season...Wagner does know what he's doing, he ain't no Dale Winton.
Anyway, Mathias Jorgensen will be announced today :)
What are you on about? Our head of football operations joined us just over a month ago, the previous one judas'd to Norwich in the season run in (lol). No one could even dream that we could possibly have been in this situation. Christ there's some nonsense spouted on this thread hahaha.
Wagner...
Mathias Jorgensen (CB) and Scott Malone (LB) will be confirmed in the next day or so. With a right back and maybe another flair forward player on loan we should be done for the summer very soon.
Lol wot. We got promoted to the Premier League with a budget of £11m with our "unscientific approach" (we'd signed 10 players by this time in the summer last season).
We get our team together early so that they can develop as a ... team. Deadline day is a mug's game.
Good to see Mounié finally over the line, he will be huge for us this season.
Very likely that Malone will be announced today as well (as competition with Lowé for left back), especially as its the first day of pre-season training.
An interesting rumour, that appears to have a lot of validity...
