Decided mid morning yesterday to take a half day, just so I could go out and ride after lunch. Got in a lovely 30 miler on sunny, quiet lanes - and got home in time to see the finish of the Giro stage. Perfect.
After a couple of years really struggling with everything, including cycling, Im loving every minute of this Giro so far.
I can feel my mojo coming back at last 🙂
Can we get this chap over here to do the same for B&H...?

Good to hear you got it checked out, but sorry you've suffered some breaks 😞 At least the Lions are giving you something to smile about atm.
I have a few friends who use Zwift and they love it during the winter....but dont give up on the outdoor riding during the spring / summer. I hate being on...
Hopefully youre ok - but I would get checked out. Get to Lewes A&E if possible - youll be seen a lot quicker.
Fingers crossed it wasnt either of my mates - they both walk their dogs down the Oval 🤞

Shocking news out of Australia....hadnt seen this til earlier. Just awful.

Sad news. I stopped subscribing earlier this year to GCN+, purely because I wasn't finding the time to sit down and watch any racing / documentaries....but for those in Aus / USA etc, this will be a huge loss as its...
Really struggling tbh and taking quite a few pills alongside the stretching and rest etc. Already been referred for an MRI with my history (I had spine surgery 10 years ago after bursting a disc) as the pain feels very similar to then. Hopefully it is just a trapped nerve and nothing more sinister.
Would be really happy to have Stat posting again, if only in here amongst 2 wheeled friends.
Have f***** my back up again & have the worst sciatic pain down my right side. Leg is numb from the knee down, so no riding for me for a while by the looks of it!
Heard Cav say its the toughest route hes ever seen?? Hopefully he can grab his stage win quick and climb off before it gets too brutal! 😁
Watched some of the presentation last night, and it looks set up for another Pog / Ving battle to the end. Never been a huge fan of the final stage on to...
I took a mate out last Saturday for a 60 km ride, almost all off road, and he loved it. Hes pretty much 100% "fast" roadie & Triathlete, even though he has an MTB and gravel bike too, but he was amazed at how much more you see when you're going slower, and along trails where you can actually...
Not sure how many others use it, but I frequently use the gravel trail that runs from Woodingdean school up / down to Ovingdean. Its a lovely path to cycle or walk along, with great views over the Downs etc. & perfectly blends in with its surroundings.
However - I've just seen that the council...

"There are sound reasons why a broad spectrum of riders are gravel biking. Roads are dangerous. Gravel bikes are perhaps the purest reaction to a world with too much...
The Marlins are a great bike - my son had one, and only sold it because he outgrew it. If you're looking at a bike packing trip at some point, the more mounts you have the better imo!
With the standard of bikes these days, I honestly dont see it being a problem. I've ridden some pretty gnarly terrain on my gravel bike, and have had one puncture in 8 months. You can get tyres these days with extra protection built in, which are basically bomb proof too
No worries at all.
Just a thought, and Im jumping on something Stat would probably say here - but if most of the riding is around town, would a hybrid / Gravel bike be better? I know MTBs are cool for the kids - but get some slimmer tyres on there and no suspension, & he will be much more...
Very much a personal thing tbh - but if hes on the cusp of a L then it should be fine I would've thought...especially if he doesn't like a smaller frame & will only be using it around town (get him out on the trails though!!!)
Here is some of the Decathlon range....You could always pop in...
