Last night, I saw little invention in the Newcastle Brentford game. The same with this match. Chilwell's taking a pasting on there, and Avram Grant is being touted as wanting to come in with a couple of players. Great stuff.

Compare our three goals (Lallana's dummy, Gross's feint and Pedro's finish) with the mediocrity in the Newcastle Brentford game. There was no invention. Plenty of hard work but nothing to lift the spirit. Just a dubious penalty. Neither team will be near the top 6 this year.
