Fair comment. They are still the division above us though and have some good players still there (e.g. Tadic who scored the first cost them £10 million).
The performances don't appear to have been great but I'd imagine Hyypia would have a much better idea of his best team if he'd actually been backed by the board bringing in new signings.
I meant results in friendlies are meaningless and don't usually have any bearing on the first few league matches. Also, we are clearly still short of quite a few players so shouldn't be expecting much for our friendlies at the moment.
