Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

Presumably a quick check of the Amex match stats will back you up. ...oh

Even if that aim was thwarted by a referee who looks like a constipated Jasper Carrot?

Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

Well if you had gone to the match there this season, you would have seen them rip us a new one. We were totally blitzed....despite resting 10 player the previous weekend in the cup match at Lincoln.

Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

With potentially £100m on the outcome, I'd have done the same as Wagner. Even if he had put out a full strength team, would they have put 100% into the performance?

Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

Agree entirely. I'm not saying what they did was ethical or honourable, but I'm not surprised it happened.

With six points to play for there were still a number of eventualities prior to the matches last Saturday. Fulham's form hasn't been quite as amazing as some have made out in the second half of the season though.

We made five changes for the match at Norwich, mainly due to the players who were dropped failing a breathaliser though on the Friday.

Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

It worked for Wednesday last season and the EFL did nothing. Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

The problem is, the match was not crucial to Huddersfield. It *could* be argued that the match at the Amex last Saturday was crucial to Bristol City, and little more than cherry on the icing for the Albion. A number of our players had fairly poor performances by their standards.

Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

I suspect not! The point I (clearly clumsily and inelegantly) was trying to make is that managers put out weakened teams for their own benefit. The wider interests of potential implications for other teams not involved in the contest does not enter their thought process. If, for example...

Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

Sheffield Wednesday did the same in the final league match last season and it paid off for them, as CH put out a full strength team at 'Boro for obvious reasons. If the position had been reversed would we have complained? The rationale about the Albion putting out weakened teams in the cup is...

Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

Magnificent, it was LEEDS. Can you imagine if CH had done the same against Palace? Instant sainthood in my eyes.
