Dunno, the match we won at Headingly we were in a lot of bother, and there were quite a few other occasions where things suddenly swung (quite literally after that ball change).
Fair assessment. At this stage I can't see us being anything other than battered in 18 months time.
Well, I guess that's all then folks.
No cricket next month (although I think it's the 50 over thingy- perhaps we should have a thread for that). Yes, no cricket in August. NO cricket in August.
Anyone with a short attention span who doesn't really like cricket can start one for The Humbug...
I don't recall it being cold that day in the Mound Stand, but I do recall Warwicks being about 95-3 at tea and the bookies giving 7/1 for them winning.
I also recall being condescendingly shown pity by Warwicks fans as I mournfully clapped Sussex on the pitch afterwards.
It's instinct. And these happenings are rare. I remember taking a catch close in once in wet conditions. A really sharp catch. I brought my hands down and the ball slipped out. The batsman had turned and walked.
I didn't call him back.
😇
Well I'm watching. It's impossible not to. No Test cricket till next year. Just that hybrid alien version next month. Like a toxic flora introduced to the countryside.
For me, Woakes holds the key in these overhead conditions. Although whether they get out there again is difficult to know. Radar shows a lot of rain around.
