The first one, maybe. But not the second one. It's not a grey area. A goal that is scored off the penalising area of the arm is automatic handball. I would have been fecking fuming if that wasn't chalked off.
I'd say 'bad' decisions but not corrupt. As I said, I don't know about the first Mitoma one, so leave that to the experts. The MAC one is only being contested by those who don't know the rules. The stamp on Mitoma was a clear penalty.
So it may be that there was one bad VAR. But it's an issue...
VAR tends to work on 'Umpire's Call' though. Had the ref given the Mitoma stamp it would have been passed. They would have been forced to review and prove otherwise. The problem is Attwell is unsighted so VAR needs clear evidence, On this occasion there is. So can't be explained.
I didn't see...
The goal was disallowed for a clear handball. Regardless of whether his arm was in a natural position or not, if it leads to a goal it has to be chalked off.
I'd be fuming if that was allowed against us.
My worry against this lot is that however much better we play they have class in their side. Must stay focussed like the first half. They can be beaten, but we need a perfect half.
