She has family in Iran, and is an Iranian national who may wish to see her family again. It would we wise to choose her words.
We didn't pay £400m for her release. We owed them the money.
The two are not connected, or so we are told by the government.
The government says it has paid a debt and the two aren't connected.
So which is it ?
I wouldn't be annoyed if I had been held for six years, I'd be in a rage.
Or did she not get the message in the last six years that Boris Johnson cannot be held responsible for anything ?
Seems like a good idea- excepting that it would spell disaster for other dual nationals in a similar situation. The Iranian regime doesn't play fair.
I'm just reminded of Johnson's stupid gaff a few years ago where she is concerned. Then again, it's Teflon, so it doesn't matter.
