Just taken a look at Wiki. Lineker was 24 when he got his first cap. Kane is still 22. It bodes well as Kane is still developing. Lineker is still the bench mark, but I think Kane will go on to be a once in a generation player. A lot of it is to do with partnerships though. I don't know enough...

I'm coming round to that. I've been firmly in the Rooney camp. Although I would still take him with those two. I like Kane because he is a classic English striker in the Lineker mold. And they always score goals. I don't know much about Vardy, except that he is in a halcyon era.
