I'd be lying if I said my bumcheeks weren't a bit clenched whenever I install an update on my phone.
After upgrading to a HTC One M8 in the summer, it needed a software update almost straight out the box (I'd already transferred all my files and stuff over to it from my previous phone)...
Well, my anti-virus spyware/malware is always kept up to date, I always have the green ticks so on that basis I must admit I kinda assume its protected. Not had any issues thus far.

I find it absolutely ASTONISHING that what is considered to be a premium organisation at the very forefront of technology routinely rolls out bug-ridden software to its millions of customers, who have paid top £££ for their product, and then has to roll...
So their customers are left with a 'buggy' OS that creates various glitches on their devices which didn't exist before. But at least their developers have lots of new bells and whistles to frig about with for when they devise the next disaster to roll out to everyone.
Gotta love apple.
