I was there too and not impressed. Sound was OK where I was sat (rear corner where those with standing tickets could sit) but Axl’s voice was shot. Saw them at the London stadium a few years ago and they were great. Won’t bother again.
On my way home from Muse at the Etihad. Managed to get wristbands for the pit as steward was handing them out in the beer queue. Brilliant to watch from the front with no crush as loads of room.
I have bagged a ticket to see David Byrne in Manchester in June. One of my biggest regrets is not seeing Talking Heads live so this will be the next best thing.
Off to see Madness in Rhyl on Saturday which could be quite lively (bound to be a few punch ups with plenty of pissed Scousers) and just bought tickets for Black Stone Cherry and Shinedown in January.
