And it is great pint. And I love a pint of one of the Saison beers. Delicious. There is a well-deserved buzz around their beer.
I too am picking up APA Tuesday morning. That is when Christmas starts .............. cheers Questions.
I always look out for Burning Sky. I keep a watch on the strength as I am more of a session man. But they are great beers.
But that does not dim my appreciation of the merits of Harveys.
We are blessed with the quality of our local beer.
I always look to try the beers that win national awards and I tend to be a little underwhelmed. I am sure it would taste better sitting in their busy brewery tap than at a beer festival.
You are correct in some respects. If we lived in Hartlepool we would likely as not be having the same...
On your recommendation I visited the Craft pub (and the Beer Dispensary) pre Millwall. Both good boozers I must say. Cheers for that.
I want to like Hophead - I really like APA, and Burning Sky beers - but Hophead just gives me a headache. God knows I've tried.
I have tried Burning Sky beers and they are very good. We are lucky to have yet another quality brewer on our doorstep. They are leagues above of a the lot of the local start-up breweries where consistency is a major issue.
But better taste than Harveys ? Not for me.
Like a dagger to the heart ......................
Possibly just that. Don't get me wrong - it is fine, and we are lucky to have it, but it is not quite there. I will do some further research next home game.
And it is not the easiest pint to take to. Some (like Pride) and a bit bland and easy to drink. If you are not used to Harveys it can take time. It is worth it though.
It did not used to be that way. It used to be a rarity (certainly in south-west London) so I used to really enjoy it when available. Now ? Meh.
(however the Fullers Brewery Tour is worth going on)
Each to their own. I am Harveys man and boy. For me there is no finer pint.
Personally I do not care for Hophead - but I really enjoy APA. However I can appreciate both, and understand why other people like them.
