No. Man Utd, Man City & Arsenal off the top of my head have spent more on individual players than we have spent in total.
Edit: a very quick look over the stats on transfermarkt.co.uk suggests we're about 13th.
...or as bad as the national media made it out to be. I must admit neither scoreline really upset me - losing 2-0 in either of those games is nothing to be afraid of - but a lot of the reports affected how positive I feel for the season, with them making out that we really did do nothing at all...
I think I'd be feeling pretty desperate... if I didn't remember that the Davy Propper deal came out of absolutely nowhere from our perspective, proving that actually us not knowing of any imminent signings means absolutely nothing about what is actually close to being done.
Bit more detail... I've copied and pasted the numbers into Excel, then sorted highest to lowest; they had the 38th highest average last year. But you're right that their own page gives a different answer - how weird.
Looking at the numbers on http://www.fifa.com/fifa-world-ranking/ranking-table/men/index.html, they have the 38th highest average for 2016, and the 19th highest for 2015.
Perfect - definitely be settled in Brighton by the time we play West Brom on 9th :lolol:
There's definitely potential that we've got a proper gem here though - fingers crossed...
After Watford, there's a 2 week gap over the International break which should help...... depending on how many of our squad are called away for it anyway. Are Ghana playing in that break?
