[Football] Crawley Town no longer officially exist

Indeed, a loan move, especially for a young player, is almost as much about learning to stand on his own two feet and mature as a person, as it is about playing football.

[Football] Crawley Town no longer officially exist

Crawley is a new town which was only created in the 1950's. The majority of people who moved there came from south London, Palace territory. Although that generation has now largely passed away, their decendents are now to a large degree Crystal Palace fans. Hence the anti Albion feeling that...

[Football] Crawley Town no longer officially exist

In all honesty l don't think it would have made too much difference, Crawley were until fairly recently a non- league club, and many residents of the town were already Albion, or (shame) Palace fans, and allegiances rarely change. Being a small town, in footballing terms at least), even if the...

[Football] Crawley Town no longer officially exist

Hmmm doing very well at the moment l'll grant you, but saying that they will be gracing the Football League in five years time is one heck of a bold statement. The National League is notoriously difficult to get promoted from, and a lot van happen in non-league football in that time span. I'm...

[Football] Crawley Town no longer officially exist

Agree re the Hastings fanbase, it's a real working class town and they love their football down there, however this much mooted ground move needs to happen, plus of course they are still several promotions away from the Football League.

[Football] Crawley Town no longer officially exist

Crawley won't fold! they have been in existence since 1896, that's five years longer than the Albion, and for nearly all of that time have quite happily been plying their trade outside of the Football League, so are very well equipped to return to that level should they have to. They play at the...

[Football] Crawley Town no longer officially exist

I don't like to see any manager lose their job, but Kevin Betsy was lucky to hold on to it for as long as he did.

Well we know what that feels like.
