Of course, but Covid is only going to exacerbate the situation. I'm sure that a number of pubs won't be reopening their doors in the coming weeks and months.
On the same theme, the long since closed Dun Horse at Mannings Heath, has finally been converted into flats, and l have to say it looks really good, even retaining the old pub sign in front of the building.
Yes unfortunate that it will never be a pub again, but at least a near derelict building...
The Dun Horse in Mannings Heath has been closed up for two or three years now. Looking very sorry for itself, I don't know what will become of it. The good villagers of Mannings Heath have an awful long way to go for a pint, unless they are members of the golf club.
All this talk of bygone local brewereies, who, and where, were Phoenix Beweries? presumably big Brighton brewers intheir day, as they sponsored the Albion shirts when l first saw us play in 1985.

I love East Preston actually, it's somewhere the wife and l go on occasion, for a walk along the beach to blow the cobwebs away. I didn't realise it once had a pub actually.
