On the same theme, the long since closed Dun Horse at Mannings Heath, has finally been converted into flats, and l have to say it looks really good, even retaining the old pub sign in front of the building. Yes unfortunate that it will never be a pub again, but at least a near derelict building...

The Dun Horse in Mannings Heath has been closed up for two or three years now. Looking very sorry for itself, I don't know what will become of it. The good villagers of Mannings Heath have an awful long way to go for a pint, unless they are members of the golf club.

The Sandrock in Ditchling village closed a few years back.

All this talk of bygone local brewereies, who, and where, were Phoenix Beweries? presumably big Brighton brewers intheir day, as they sponsored the Albion shirts when l first saw us play in 1985.

I wonder where Des Lynam drinks then? I love East Preston actually, it's somewhere the wife and l go on occasion, for a walk along the beach to blow the cobwebs away. I didn't realise it once had a pub actually.
