No sign of the promised striker

Unfortunately, as loathe as I am to say this, with Leicester three points clear at the top of the Premier League, it's likely, if Ulloa were to be loaned out, other lesser Premier League teams would show an interest.

Well if players are out of contract, they may be desperate to find a new club.

Jon Stead is worse than what we already have, and he has fallen down the divisions for a reason. He may well be scoring a few goals, but they are in League 2 for Notts County. Simiarly with Luciano Becchio, he was on fire a few seasons ago at Leeds, but finds it difficult to get a game even at...

IF we were to make that signing, it could very well be a player from overseas, that you, I. or any other A,lbion fan has any knowledge of. I feel sure that the likes of Rhodes, McCormack, Bamford and the like have been discounted, simply because TB sees them as being way overpriced. He is...

Absolutely, a fine player, loved Knockeart in his Leicester days. Could be quite a key signing, and very surprised that no one else appeared to be in for him. All we can hope for now, is that a striker, or strikers, old or new, will be able to convert those telling chances that he creates.

It's really just your last paragraph I'm interested in Tim. The first sentence of which I agree with, the second one I don't. It probably will only be an overseas of lower division prospect that TB will agree to shell out on, (if at all). But would I spend big bucks on a proven striker?, yes...

No sign of the promised striker

That's my feeling as well. If we do sign that elusive striker this side of the deadine, he is more likely to come from the continent, or a lowert division Football League club. It is totally pointless bandying names like Rhodes and McCormack about, as no way would Tony Bloom get into a price...
