What does how much he gets paid have to do with anything? It makes me laugh when people say he gets paid to 'kick a ball around the park'. I think he'd probably disagree, and would feel that he does a little bit more than that, and actually works harder than a hell of a lot of the 30,000 people...
I'm sure plenty of people have valid and sensible reasons for leaving a bit early. Maybe even a few hundred do. But thousands and thousands? They left because we started losing. Losing by one goal, with 5 minutes left in a top of the table clash. Embarrassing.

Not to the same extent. People leaving early, yes, but the ground was literally half empty before the final whistle went last night. I can almost understand it if we're 3-0 down or even 3-0 up, but 2-1 down in a top of the table clash with a few minutes to go? Are these people new to football or...
It doesn't though. Not to the extent that it happens at the Amex, anyway. Whether that is because of the demographic of our support or the transport, or a bit of both, it seems to be worse than anywhere else for it.

No it isn't. Of course the players should be motivated without us, but top-level sport is won or lost on very fine margins. That extra 1% makes the difference. I don't see how we can expect the players to give absolutely everything they have for us, if the fans give up and go home when we start...
It would really annoy me if I was a player. If the fans give up and leave with 5 minutes to go in a top of the table clash when we've just gone behind, then why should the players bother to fight until the death? I'm sure everyone has their reasons, but it is really odd how so many people do it...
