No Southern Trains Most of Next Week -but will probably still be rubbish on the other days

Not really. Everything I do can be done remotely. Only reason I come up to London as much as I do is because I had a new person start towards the end of last year and it's better for her to have some face to face time, but really I get much more done on strike days as I get 2-3 hours a day back...

I either work from home or from the Brighton office when I can't get to London.(so sometimes I have to pay £4.20 for a bus instead)

No Southern Trains Most of Next Week -but will probably still be rubbish on the other days

I think this is the crux of the matter. If there was an election in the near future they might be worried but with no election until 2020, they know that nobody is going to be remember this by the time they have to vote, so they can continue crushing the unions with no political impact.

Normally I buy a weekly season ticket even though I only travel up two or three times a week, however obviously next week there is little point buying one due to the strikes. HOWEVER - I have to go to London on Saturday, so presumably I can buy a season ticket for £102 or whatever they are now...

Nice. Another £102 saved as I won't have to buy a weekly ticket. Thanks Southern, you're making me richer!
