The last time we flew whilst pissed was from Gatwick to Newcastle. As we were coming in to land, my co-pilot said to me "This is a bloody short runway, it's only about 20 yards long!" I said "You're right, but the bloody thing must be at least 2 miles wide!" The old ones are the best.
