Seems to be a very bad year for everything. Not just 'shrooms, but chestnuts, sloes etc. Or am I just not getting out enough? It may be better in Sussex?

Beautiful. The last one I found (before HS2 came along, and smashed up my secret mushroom field), I used to go and visit every other day and take a slice off to have with my dinner. Lovely.

Found this, this morning. I believe it's an Amanita ponderosa. Not confident enough to try it for dinner, although it is very tempting.

Walked through here yesterday... ...and found these. I have no idea what any of them are. Any ideas?

Went to my favourite mushroom field this morning, all fenced off for HS2 works. Nobody around, so I slipped under the fence and picked these little beauties. There are hundreds at the moment, it was hard to walk without stepping on them.

I picked what I thought were Chanterelles yesterday- Turns out they were False Chanterelles. Easy mistake for a beginner to make.
